MAKE UP YOUR MIND!

If there’s something you feel you must do and know that you will do it, yet you’re not excited about it, dread it, or think negatively about it, it’s time to tap. When you have conflicting thoughts of which action to take, take no action until you’re clear.

Doing one thing and wishing you were doing another sends conflicting signals to your brain.  It also splits your energy so that you can’t live wholly in the present moment, and being present for and in your life is everything.  If you have a pattern of pleasing others or just going along with the crowd while wishing you were somewhere else, it’s time to start a new habit.

Before you make any decision that brings up conflict within you, make the choice to tap on this dilemma.  Tapping enables you to bring every divergent thought to the forefront of your mind and examine each of them one by one.  As you tap away any feelings of fear or indecision arising from a particular thought or intended action, all that will remain is your clarity.

Once you have made a decision from a clear mind, wholly embrace this action. Refuse to act begrudgingly. If you decide to do something, say an unequivocal yes in your mind and heart and begin to think positive thoughts concerning it that bring you joy. Become single-minded; think thoughts about it that are fun or light or easy. You will literally tap into the indisputable power of a wholehearted yes.

If there’s something you feel you should do but you have tapped into your clarity and your deepest heart says no, refuse to take that action. Step unequivocally into your power and uphold your right to opt out of something that is not right for you.  Step into the intoxicating power of no. In being true to yourself, sometimes you have to say a strong no, regardless of others’ opinions. If the still, small voice inside you guides you to decline any action, listen to it and follow its powerfully true voice. If saying no is new to you, practice in small ways until it becomes easy.

It’s important to take care when choosing either a yes or no because this is your life.  Your choices matter. Be authentically you as you play with and practice strong yeses and nos. If either one feels unfamiliar this may call for further tapping.  Observe your reactions and notice how your feelings change as you gain experience.

Once you’ve made your powerful choice, refuse to second guess yourself.  If you’ve made your decision from the clarity of the moment, that’s the best you can ever do.  Now boldly move forward and never look back.  Even if hindsight tells you there was a different path you could have taken, you didn’t know it at the time and that’s okay.  Treat yourself as a beloved friend and uphold and support your powerful decisions.
